The wooden beads have a nice weight to them and the paint hasn't chipped yet despite daily use. My four-year-old can easily thread them onto the laces, which keeps her focused for a good twenty minutes.
The two long laces are a lifesaver on car rides since my 3-year-old can thread all 30 beads without them slipping off. The wood feels solid and the paint hasn't chipped even after weeks of daily play.
