The illustrations on these boards are what sold me, colorful but not too busy for a toddler to focus on. My son started recognizing the first letter of his name within a week of playing with them.
My 3-year-old grabbed the board with her initial and now she points out that letter everywhere we go. The illustrations are cute without being too busy, so she actually focuses on the letters instead of getting distracted.
