My 3-year-old has been using this every day to practice counting to 100, and the solid hardwood base has survived being dragged around the house. The 100 beads are bright enough that she sorts them by color on her own.
The beads slide so smoothly on the wires, and the hardwood base feels solid enough to survive my toddler's constant dropping. We use it for counting to 100 and color sorting, and it's held up perfectly for months.
