The oversized wooden knobs are perfect for my 9-month-old's grip, way easier than the flat puzzle pieces we tried before. She's figured out the lion goes in the lion spot and claps for herself every time.
My one-year-old grabbed the giraffe knob right away and now carries it around the house. The wooden pieces are chunkier than I expected, so no worrying about small parts. She's figured out where each animal goes, which surprised me for her age.
